Performance targets have to be numbers; fast and smooth do not clear the gate.

An AI PRD Skeleton of Eleven Mandatory Chapters preview

Version 0.2 added three zones — hard constraints, recommended defaults, and room to move — so the downstream AI knows where it may not deviate. The gates are hard: performance targets must be numbers, not fast or smooth; every data-model field carries a comment, the top level a version; the handover chapter needs at least three acceptance scenarios. The author names his own trap: a PRD that boxes the AI in too tightly usually means low-risk detail got written as a hard constraint.
