The author's reasoning: every platform is a walled garden with its own API, tokens and auth, so no single AI can search across them — Google doesn't touch Reddit comments or X posts. The way through is bringing your own keys and browser sessions so one agent can query all of them and score them against each other. Reddit, Hacker News, Polymarket and GitHub work with zero config; X, YouTube, TikTok and arXiv unlock through a setup wizard; Xiaohongshu needs a logged-in local service and an explicit opt-in flag.
