Deep Research in Four Depths, Up to 45 Minutes
Added 2026-08-06Quick runs three phases in two to five minutes, standard six phases in five to ten, deep eight phases in ten to twenty, ultra-deep twenty to forty-five. Standard is the default, not the longest one.
The quality gates are numeric: at least ten sources, at least three per major claim, a 200-to-400-word executive summary, 600 to 2,000 words per finding. One script runs nine structural checks, another verifies DOIs and hunts hallucinated citations, and validation runs at most three rounds. Step zero fetches the current date before searching, so the model does not treat a training-data year as now. The red team exists only in the deep and ultra-deep tiers. The author also says when not to use it: anything one or two searches answer.
